The Ouray yard has a victorian station, a car repair shop, a steam engine servicing facility and maintainance of way equipment including a wedge plow and a steam shovel which are kept busy opening the line to Red Mountain. The Ouray yard is also home to many narrow gauge engine crews. Business served by the narrow gauge include the C&E Sanderson Hardware, San Juan Supply Co., and the Lizard Head Mine #2.
