Cimarron is a cattle loading facility between Montrose and Gunnison. Dallas Creek flows down a canyon to the west of Ouray. Koch's Creek has a small station and engine house located on the narrow gauge between Ouray and Montrose. Placerville is located between Gunnison and Montrose. Groger's Grocery is located here on the road to the Belden Mine. Sneffels is a small mining community between Gunnison and Montrose where the Porter Coal Co and The Mountain Top Mill are located. Finally, the Uncompahgre Gorge is located between Belden abn Montrose.
