Montrose is the junction point where the D&SW narrow gauge and standard gauge divisions meet. There is a complex of three-rail track to acomplish this. The railrod has a steam locomotive maintinance facility for both standard and narrow gauge engines, a large passenger station, freight house and a standard gauge to narrow gauge transfer crane. Montrose is also the home of the world famous beer - San Juan Swill as well as Corkies Coal Co.
